Emma McClements
Partner
Emma has been in Residential property lettings in York since 2007. During this time she has been in some of the most amazing properties in York from studio flats to grand houses and there is little that she hasn’t seen! Having a wealth of knowledge of the York lettings market, Emma offers a friendly and personal approach and loves nothing more than meeting with landlords to really understand their requirements and her strengths lie in offering valuations, services, investment advice and building trusted relationships. Having previously been a midwife she understands that no two people are the same and can have vastly differing needs and prides herself on taking the time to assist clients in offering good, honest and sound advice. Being York born and bred, there is little she doesn’t know about the city of York!
Emma has a real love yet eclectic taste in music and has been ‘seen on the scene’ performing (badly) for charity in York!
Emma is married with 3 children and loves a gin and a day at the races!!
Amy Anderton

Amy enjoys the fast-moving pace of residential property lettings in York, this business ensures we are constantly on our toes working hard to see the lettings transaction through from viewing until move-in working through every eventuality. The thrill of letting property never wanes. It is a joy each and every time. Forming Anderton McClements has been a wonderful experience. She feels blessed to co-own the lettings business in York. This magnificent city is the perfect investment and renting magnet, offering such a diverse blend of properties against this unique Medieval backdrop.
Meeting lots of different people is a highlight of her work. Working with people and property is the best job in the world! Amy is a member of ARLA and ensures the business and all our clients are fully compliant with all up to date legislative policies and processes.
Away from the business Amy is married with three children. Although one of her greatest pleasures is to enjoy a Mojito on a palm-fringed sandy beach, Amy loves a city break and visits London as frequently as she can. Amy lived and worked in London for years, she says, ‘it’s one of the great cities of the world and only 2 hours from home’.

Amelia loves to be in the property world, especially in the fast-moving rental market of York, a city that has a growing, diverse culture and a wide variety of people. Amelia says…..’It brings me happiness to forge great relationships with both tenants and landlords to assist with their property maintenance needs, ensure a streamline process and to answer any questions they may have.’
Amelia has got a very keen eye so every property she visits she ensures is in tip-top condition and on her arrival you are promised to be greeted with a warm smile and of course, friendly service. Amelia is from the heart of Yorkshire and in her spare time, loves to explore new cities and enjoys spending quality time with friends and family.
Susie Mortonson

Susie Mortonson is our appointed solicitor who specialises in corporate and commercial law. Susie has a unique ability to combine commercial and technical insight with a calm, personable approach which she also brings to her work. Susie is experienced in advising a wide range of businesses on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and investments, shareholder and corporate governance issues, commercial lending and all forms of commercial contracts, together with offering specific legal expertise for clients based within the charity sector.
Susie has helped advise Anderton McClements on the structure of our business and our customer terms and conditions. Susie lives on the outskirts of York with two young children and outside of work enjoys spending time with her family, dancing and drinking gin. She also loves a fast car and once had a drink with Lewis Hamilton’s dad and the McLaren Technical Director, which was the highlight of her year!
Gareth Buddo

Gareth Buddo is our appointed Photographer, specialising in Commercial, Industrial & Architectural work. He brings 32 years of experience in this sector, ensuring the very best visuals for Anderton McClement’s marketing strategies.
Gareth lives in York, using sustainable transport within the city. When he’s not using bikes for transport, he’s racing them off-road, having started off-road racing in the ’80s, Cyclocross is now his passion, spending most winter weekends caked head to toe in muck. ‘Chapeau Galwaz!’ (as they say in France)
Mark Mitchell
Digital / Web Developer
Mark Mitchell is our digital designer and web developer who also ensures our online presence is working well. With over three decades of professional design experience working with above the line brands like Reckett Benckiser, Bayer and Carlsberg, Anderton McClements are in safe hands when it comes to digital marketing.
Mark is originally from South Yorkshire (Doncaster) but now lives in Devon, a true example of the new way of working digitally we have regular zoom meetings and Mark looks after us from his rural Devon location.
Adam Bovan
IT Team
Adam and Jenna are our IT Team. They work in the background to ensure our computers turn on, our systems are secure and always up to date. Adam, our IT Director brings a wealth of experience when it comes to IT – after serving a decade in the Royal Navy as a Communications and Information Systems Specialist, we know he’s the best man to be in control of our IT.
Outside of the office, you can usually find Adam walking or hanging out in Whitby.
